Dig Deeper
Our companion CD, entitled Dig Deeper, offers six in-depth activities that promise to uncover the truth about tobacco. These open-ended projects feature full-color animation, live video, and other interactive features to engage students' critical thinking skills around the tough issues of tobacco use.
Dig Deeper is a tobacco use prevention CD-ROM aimed at 5th and 6th grade students. Perfect for schools or home, Dig Deeper provides in-depth facts, skills building, and behavioral knowledge of tobacco use. The six multi-media activities will provide hours of fun while teaching students about tobacco.
Set in the newsroom of Dig Deeper, a web-based news organization, the CD-ROM puts students in the role of reporter to investigate the "whys" of tobacco use. As you race around town, you'll be collecting information and creating articles for a web-based newspaper called "The Scoop on Tobacco." Not only will you be writing for this paper--you'll be graphing data, drawing ads, coloring comics, and even editing video for this multi-media project. At the end, you can see all your work published on your very own website!
Available from _______________, Dig Deeper offers teachers and parents ways to get students thinking more deeply about tobacco use and to more firmly entrench prevention through behaviors and skills.
