Collaborators

The National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) funds the Assistive Technology Data Collection Project, as well as four other technical assistance grants. Located in the Department of Education, NIDRR conducts comprehensive and coordinated programs of research and related activities to maximize the full inclusion, social integration, employment, and independent living of individuals with disabilities of all ages.

Technical Assistance Projects

RESNA, the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America sponsors two AT technical assistance projects:

Assistivetech.net is the National Assistive Technology Internet Site that provides up-to-date, thorough information on assistive technology devices and services, adaptive environments, and community resources. Users can search for AT devices by function or activity, keyword, vendor or product type.

National Assistive Technology Advocacy Project is sponsored by Neighborhood Legal Services, and provides technical assistance to the AT Protection and Advocacy Program grantees. The Web site features important policy-related publications, training and organizing events, and other AT resources.
